This Privacy Policy explains how Document Forge ("we", "us") handles information when you use Document Forge (the "Service").

Information we collect

Account info: if you create an account, your email address and a securely hashed version of your password (we never store your password in plain text).
Usage and credits: your credit balance and records needed to run the Service, such as which purchases or codes have been applied.
Document inputs: the details you type into the generator in order to produce a document.
Technical data: limited data such as your IP address, used to prevent abuse of the free trial and keep the Service secure.

How we use it

To provide and operate the Service, generate your documents, process payments, send account-related emails (such as password resets), prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the Service.

Service providers we share data with

We use trusted third parties to run the Service, and share only what's needed:

Anthropic (Claude): the details you submit are sent to our AI provider to generate your document.
Stripe: processes payments. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we don't store them.
Upstash: securely stores account and credit data.
Resend: delivers account emails such as password resets.
Vercel: hosts the Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use third-party advertising trackers.

Cookies and local storage

We use your browser's local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your session. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention

We keep account and usage data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your account data by emailing us.

Your choices

You may request access to or deletion of your personal data by emailing rmanning81@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA.

Children

The Service isn't directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their data.
